Enrolment (and completion of at least 48 points) in one of the following majors: Sustainable Development; Community Development; International Aid and Development; Environmental Management and Sustainability; Conservation and Wildlife Biology; Environmental Science or enrolment with the approval of the Unit Coordinator.

Learning outcomes

Discuss community-scale sustainability in relation to energy systems, local economies, local communities, regenerative agriculture, and food systems.

Apply resilience thinking and bioregionalism at a local and regional scale.

Analyse resilience and sustainability challenges at a local and regional scale and propose practical solutions. 

4.

Communicate the outcomes of independent field work effectively in reflective writing and oral presentations.
