Unit content:
The unit content is designed to introduce students to the MUCC clinic and patient management. Furthering students‘ knowledge of the clinical environment, students participate in front desk duties to acquire the basic understanding of clinic environment functioning.

Broad Program Objectives:
To meet the accrediting body for chiropractic programs in Australia (Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia 2017) stipulated competencies, a graduate chiropractic student must attain:
- Clinical assessment: Understands patients’ health status and related circumstances; critically analysing these and forms a clinical impression (Practice Competency 3 Clinical Assessment).
- Planning care: Work in collaboration with patients, exploring care options available and developing agreed, evidence-based care and management plans (Practice Competency 4 Planning Care).
- Implementing, monitoring, and evaluating care: Co-ordinating the safe and effective implementation, monitoring, evaluation and appropriate adjustment of patients’ care and management plans (Practice Competency 5 Implementing Care).
