Integrate and apply theoretical knowledge to the practices associated with the diagnostic clinical pathology laboratory.
Effectively communicate your knowledge and experiences in a professional environment using a variety of formats, including written, verbal and/or online.
Apply knowledge of diagnostic pathology, ethical conduct and the use of confidential information related to the workplace, including patient details and the data generated from pathology testing.

Students will complete 560 hours on WIL placement in NATA accredited diagnostic pathology laboratories. The nature of your experiences will depend on the type of laboratory you are placed into, the disciplines (laboratories) in which you work, the type, experience and level of staff members you work with, the types of laboratory equipment and protocols you undertake, and other factors that may arise during your time on WIL placement.
